Hon.Minister Akori Joins Kitgum Leaders to Welcome Archbishop Kazimba on Farewell Pastoral Visit

KITGUM, UGANDA | Minister of State for Northern Uganda, Hon. Beatrice Akello Akori, has joined religious, government and community leaders in welcoming the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, the Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kazimba Mugalu, to Kitgum Diocese for a pastoral and farewell visit.
The Archbishop’s visit has attracted Christians and leaders from across the diocese, who have gathered to participate in the programme and celebrate his years of service and leadership within the Church of Uganda
Akori was among the leaders who received Archbishop Kazimba, joining Christians in recognising his contribution to the growth of the Church and his engagement with communities across the country.
The visit also created an opportunity for Church and government leaders to interact with Christians and community members on matters affecting the wellbeing and development of Northern Uganda.
In her participation, Akori joined other leaders in emphasising the importance of peace, unity, cooperation and continued service to communities, particularly in a region where religious and cultural institutions play an important role in social development.
The Kitgum Diocese programme is continuing, with clergy, government officials, Christians and local residents taking part in the various activities prepared for the Archbishop’s visit.
The farewell engagement forms part of Archbishop Kazimba’s wider pastoral activities as he continues to visit dioceses and interact with Christians across the Church of Uganda.
