Hon.Akori, Lugwa donate 150 iron sheets to restore wind-damaged wii polo primary school

Wii Polo Primary School in Paimol Sub-county, Agago District, has received 150 iron sheets from Woman Member of Parliament for Agago District, Hon. Beatrice Akello Akori, and Agago North MP, Hon. Lugwa Bension, following damage to the school caused by a recent windstorm.

The donation was made in response to concerns raised by school authorities and residents after strong winds reportedly tore off roofs covering some of the school’s classrooms, leaving the affected facilities vulnerable to further damage from rain and other harsh weather conditions.

The loss of roofing materials had raised concerns about the safety and welfare of pupils, while also threatening to disrupt lessons and affect the normal operation of the school. The intervention by the two legislators is intended to support efforts to restore the damaged sections and help create a more suitable environment for teaching and learning.

During the handover of the iron sheets, Akori and Lugwa stressed the importance of protecting education in Agago, particularly at a time when many households are facing economic difficulties and food insecurity.
