Kisoro District Chairman Injured in Rubanda

RUBANDA — Police in Rubanda District are investigating a road crash that left Kisoro District Local Council V Chairman Richard Ndyana and two other men injured
The accident occurred at about 7:40 p.m. in Hamuko Village, Muko Sub-county, along the Kabale–Kisoro road.According to Kigezi Regional Police spokesperson SP Nelson Tumushime, the crash involved a Toyota Hilux belonging to Kisoro District Local Government.
Police said the vehicle was travelling from Kabale towards Kisoro when the driver reportedly failed to negotiate a sharp bend, causing the vehicle to overturn.Traffic Police officers responded to the scene and helped evacuate the injured occupants, who were rushed to Kisoro Hospital for medical attention.Ndyana and the two unidentified men sustained injuries in the crash.
Police have since commenced investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the accident.Motorists using the Kabale–Kisoro road have continued to be urged to exercise caution, particularly when approaching sharp bends and other potentially dangerous sections of the highway.
